Robin Hoods Bow, '15

110" x 85" x 120"

Reclaimed lumber, fabricated steel, and video/sound loop

Robin Hoods Bow is a site specific work located in a unique corner of the STAMP gallery at the University of Maryland.  During the opening reception, my brother (Chase Winkler) and I locked ourselves inside a space reminiscent of a childhood fort. Footage of Chase giving me a hand-poke tattoo of Robin Hoods Bow was then projected on the wall underneath the space.  After the event, a video screen was installed on the same wall, providing a memory of the event.  As a child I would imagine being such a hero as Robin Hood in the spaces my brother and I would create.  Steal from the rich and give to the needy.
